This workshop will briefly review the prior research that demonstrates how these tools and materials bear traces of their unique histories of cultural use and access, representing a more inclusive (and arguably more effective) means for teaching electronics and circuitry than traditional toolkits. The workshop will engage participants in learning how to design e-textiles as well as introduce next steps for incorporation into classroom and after-school activities.
