Mariko Tomimoto, Dean of the Graduate School Four Divisions of Department of Global Society International Social Studies In this department, research is conducted based on the academic fields of political science, history, environmental studies, and anthropology. Students will analyze and discuss topics in the rapidly changing international society, and derive intellectual solutions that can be applied to the real world. Business Management Studies In this department, we aim to propose solutions to issues demanded by local communities using the methods of economics and business administration. Students will derive the optimal fusion of theory and practice from phenomena that arise in the real world. Tourism and Hospitality Studies In this department, students aim to conduct research that leads to diverse discoveries and proactive actions toward a sustainable society, while relating tourism-related phenomena to complex factors such as economics, management, history, culture, and the environment. International Sports Management Studies In this department, students will deepen their research on marketing strategies specific to the sports business and organizational analysis based on motivation and leadership theories. Admission Requirements for International Students Admissions Eligibility(First Grade Admission) Students who meet all of the following conditions (1 to 3) are eligible to apply. Those who have sufficient motivation to reach the professional learning goals of the University and the faculty or department. Those who possess citizenship other than Japanese citizenship and who will be 18 years of age by March 31, 2024. Those who able to take the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT), J-Test, or other certification test that certifies their Japanese language ability prior to admission and submit the results of the test. (Submission is not required at the time of application. To be submitted by the time of admission.)In addition to conditions (1) through (3) above, Students who meet one of the following conditions (4) to (9) are eligible to apply. Those who have completed 12 years of school education in a foreign country, and those who are scheduled to complete the course by March 2024. Those who have completed or will complete by March 2024 the relevant course at an overseas educational institution accredited by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. Those who have passed an academic achievement test equivalent to completion of a 12-year course in a foreign country and will reach 18 years of age by March 31, 2024. Those who have completed a school course (less than 12 years) equivalent to a high school in a foreign country (including passing an academic achievement test) and have completed a preparatory course (or a course at a training facility) designated by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. Those who have completed a course in Uzbekistan, Sudan, Belarus, Peru, Myanmar or Russia designated by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. Those who have obtained an International Baccalaureate, Abitur, Baccalaureate or GCEA qualification.
