Shiga University, which established Japan&＃8217;s first Faculty of Data Science and has expertise and experience in data science education, and Wakasa High School will work together to develop a curriculum for the data science education needed in the future. Shiga University was represented by Dr. Akimichi Takemura, President of Shiga University, Dr. Yoshiyuki Ota, Vice President and Director of the Center for High University Collaboration and Admissions, Dr. Hiroshi Shiina, Dean of the School of Data Science, and Dr. Hidetoshi Matsui of the School of Data Science, who served as an administrative guidance committee member of our school. Mr. Toru Kitamura, Principal, and Mr. Ichiro Nakamori, School Education Supervisor, Fukui Prefectural Board of Education, attended. Wakasa High School will promote data science education with Shiga University in order to acquire statistical methods for collecting, organizing, and analyzing big data, which will be necessary in the future, as well as the ability to discover and solve problems through these methods.
